The flour babies. Perhaps it was inevitable that this stupid experiment would fall on the 4th grade, the class of dunces and hopeless cases, when the subjects for the science fair were assigned. For three weeks, each student must care for a canvas bag filled with flour as if it were a baby, and keep a daily journal. The flour babies will be examined and weighed twice a week ? All stains, leaks and frays will be punished. Simon, one of the "hopeless cases", thought it would all end with a big flour sack explosion in class. But now he's attached himself to his baby.
